a calm light for nightime rituals

LOON was created to address the need for a gentle, non-intrusive night light that supports nighttime routines without disrupting sleep. The goal was to design an object that feels calming and intentional, blending seamlessly into domestic environments.

designing and producing an independent product

As an independent project developed for Heim, I led the design from concept through production and distribution. The work focused on form exploration, light diffusion, and material selection, alongside hands-on prototyping and refinement to balance visual warmth, functionality, and manufacturability at small scale.

LOON is a compact night light defined by a soft glow and a simple, approachable form. Carefully diffused light creates a calm atmosphere, while the minimal design allows the product to sit quietly within a space, supporting nighttime use without drawing attention to itself.
